The basic GAS sentence structure is made up of 3 phrases:  two subject area phrases with a connector phrase in the middle.  Single alphabetic characters represent the 3 parts.

Example 1B c d.  means print a capitalized phrase from list B, a connector phrase from list C, and a phrase from list D.  Spaces and punctuation are passed along unchanged.

B c d.  produces a sentence like this:

A large portion of the interface coordination communication adds explicit performance limits to the philosophy of commonality and standardization.

Example 2:  If those same 3 parts are put on separate lines, the result would be something like this:

The incorporation of additional mission constraints
maximizes the probability of project success and minimizes the cost and time required for
the evolution of specifications over a given time period.

The reason that the same B c d phrases aren't the same for both examples is because phrases are randomly selected every time.  All the phrases from every list are used in random order until all are used, then the list is re-randomized.  That way if the same letter is used more than once in the same sentence, you won't get duplication.

Example 3E g e. E g e. A, e g e o e.  Management oriented list E is used 7 times to make a paragraph of 3 sentences from one script line.

Mission efficiency and effectiveness correctly accounts for a sophisticated fiscal management process.  The organizational environment creates the projected funding and personnel level.  However, the underlying organizational substructure derives naturally from contemporary definitions of the organizational structure based on sound management engineering concepts.

Example 4:  Let's take one basic sentence pattern, and then add one more part at a time to build up to more complex sentences.  Note the changes in punctuation placement and capitalizing of phrases.

Basic structure:  J g i. - Professionally designed courseware requires the total educational rationale.

Basic with prefix:  F, j g i. - Generally, the conceptualization of a sophisticated educational delivery mechanism needs the instructional design based on a modern educational concept.

Basic with suffix:  J g i o h. - The optimum teaching conformance and capacity determines the philosophy of education vs. training with an innovative new telecommuting/telecomputing process..

All 3 parts:  A, j g i o e. - However, a wide network of contacts is based on the anticipated new teaching material as a mechanism for the necessary organizational restructuring.
